Week Two

This week, we've got another home game. This time it's against the Cincinnati Bengals, who won their opening game. Hopefully we can get the home W, and not dig ourselves too large a hole at the start of the season. Here's the matchup preview for this weeks game.

Game Notes
Both offense's match up fairly evenly stat wise, however the Bengals Defense played a lot stronger last week than the Bronco's did, and that could certainly be the difference if the Bronco's give up 400 yards offense again. Champ Bailey played well in the opener, snagging 2 picks, certainly will be interesting to see if the Bengals look to keep the ball far away from him. This week, the Bronco's have been busy re-configuring the playbook to include some Read Options, so keep a look out for another successful week running the ball for Tim Tebow. Hopefully the Broncos won't let the game slip away in the 2nd quarter, and keep a reasonable pace for all 4 quarters.

A few roster updates to note this week, we've cut 3rd string C, Manny Ramirez, and signed Shaun O'Hara from Free Agency, to a 1 year deal for $850k. O'Hara will be the starting C for the season, adding experience and helping sophomore C, J.D. Walton improve his game. We've also decided to cut WR, Matthew Willis, in favor of signing Braylon Edwards out of Free Agency, to a 2 year deal for $8.32m. Having seen Lousaka Polite (FB) is an available free agent, and impressed by his work on 3rd down for the Miami Dolphins over the past several years, we have cut rookie Alonzo Loggins (FB), and signed Polite to a 2 year deal for $2.08m.
Lousaka Polite will now be the 1st String FB, and Braylon Edwards takes the 2nd spot in the WR lineup.

Having a look around the league, we've noted the Patriots have Aaron Hernandez (TE), up on the Trade Block. While we're certainly interested, they're looking to trade for a great HB, MLB, or CB, and we're not willing to part with any of our stars in these positions. Tight End's will be a priority in the Draft.

The Depth Chart for the offense has shaken up a little bit this week because of our Free Agency moves, so here's a look at the updated Offensive Depth Chart going into this weeks game.
